Neha’s Monday so far. In at 9:24 am, a short break and lunch, working now. Managers see a bar like this for everyone.

What TimeTrackr does for the people who use it every day

A live Team board

Who is working, on a break, late or not in yet, with each person’s day as a bar. Click anyone for their breaks, screenshots and notes.

One tap to start and stop

Start when you sit down, Stop when you leave. Starting again the same day picks up where you left off, and the gap counts as a break.

Lateness, breaks over the hour, extra time stayed and half days are all worked out from the times, by the same rules for everyone.

Works offline

When the network drops, the app keeps recording and sends it when the connection is back.

Updates itself

New versions install on their own. Install it once on each office computer and that’s it.

Corrections and approvals

Forgot to stop? Ask for a correction in a sentence. Managers approve it in one click and the day is fixed straight away.

Monthly reports and payroll

Present, late, half days and payable days for everyone, a CSV for the salary sheet, and pay worked out from attendance. The owner locks the month once it’s paid.

Activity, hour by hour

A screenshot every 15 minutes while someone is working, with how busy the keyboard and mouse were. Never on a break.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    HR adds people

Each person gets a sign-in: a 4-digit PIN for the desktop app, or a temporary password for managers, who set their own.

  2. Step 2

They install it and press Start

Download the app, sign in once on the office computer, press Start. Signing in clocks them in.

  3. Step 3

    Managers see the day live

The Team board fills in as people start. At the end of the month, Reports and Salary are already done.

Who sees what

Employees

  • Today: the time worked, one Start/Stop button, and the break used against the hour.
  • My month: every day with its times, lateness and what it pays, and the month’s totals.
  • Corrections: ask for a day to be fixed and see when it’s approved.
  • My activity: their own screenshots and activity, hour by hour.

Managers and HR

  • Team: the day live, with breaks, lateness and anything worth a look.
  • Reports: the month for everyone, days to review, and a CSV export.
  • Requests: corrections waiting for a decision.
  • HR also runs Salary, People and Settings; the owner approves salaries and locks months.

What’s recorded, plainly

TimeTrackr records attendance, not people’s private lives. Everything it records is listed in the app itself.

Read the privacy notice

What is recorded
Start, stop and break times; a screenshot every 15 minutes while someone is working; how much the keyboard and mouse are used.
What never is
What anybody types. Screenshots are never taken on a break, with the screen locked, or before signing in.
Who can see it
The person themselves, their manager and HR. Nobody else in the team.
How long it’s kept
Screenshots are deleted after 32 days. Attendance records are kept for payroll.
Always disclosed
The app says on its own screen that it takes screenshots, and shows when it last took one.

Questions

Does it work without an internet connection?

Yes. The desktop app keeps recording when the connection drops and sends what it recorded as soon as the network is back, so a bad connection doesn't cost anybody their day.

Windows or Mac?

Both: Windows 10 and 11, and Macs with Apple silicon or Intel processors. The download page has a build for each.

How do updates work?

The app checks for a new version by itself and installs it. Nobody has to download TimeTrackr again after the first time.

Windows says “Windows protected your PC”. Is that safe?

The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows asks before running it. Click More info, then Run anyway. IT can also install it silently with the /S switch.

Who can see my screenshots?

You, your manager and HR. Colleagues can't. Screenshots are only taken while you're working, never on a break or with the screen locked.

A day on my record is wrong. What do I do?

Open My month and choose Ask for a correction. Your manager sees it under Requests; once they approve it, the day is fixed straight away.

How long is my data kept?

Screenshots are deleted after 32 days. Attendance records are kept, because pay is worked out from them.

How do I get an account?

HR adds you and hands you a PIN or a temporary password. Nobody can sign themselves up.
